13th ASPF

The 13th ASPF will be held from 17 Sept.(Thu.) to 18 Sept.(Fri.), 2015 in Gyeongju, Korea.  The ASPF sincerely invites you for enhancing mutual understanding and possible cooperation as well as for promotion of academic achievements.
  The main objective of the ASPF is to promote cooperation in the emerging and important areas of precision forging among Asian countries and regions. The ASPF will hold a forum to share the recent developments, advances, and innovations, and provide a platform for active interactions among engineers or researchers engaged in basic and applied research fields of precision forging.
  Although the ASPF is focused mainly on Precision Forging, it covers its related metal forming technologies and their applications especially including CFP(cold forging progressive) technologies, green manufacturing technologies, etc. 
  The ASPF will offer special industry tours to automobile company and auto-parts companies including forging company in the Friday afternoon. Note that Gyeongju city itself is one of Korean national parks as well as UNISCO world heritages because it has not only so many historical remains or ruins but it also has many good natural beauties and spectacular sceneries. It had been the capital of the first Korean unified country of Silla Dynasty for the first millennium AD. Also, it is located at the centroid of Korean industrialized cities, including Ulsan (Hyundai Motors, Hyundai Heavy Industry), Daegu (Auto-parts industries) and Pohang (POSCO, Steel making industries), not far from Gumi (Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics) and Pusan (Auto-parts industries).

Basically the contributors should prepare two pages of summarized papers for oral or poster presentation in the ASPF. Some full papers associated with the summarized papers will be published in the following learned journals after proper peer reviews:
  -IJMPT (Int. J. Mat. Product Tech., SCI)
  -IJMTM (Int. J. Manuf. Tech.  Manag. Scopus)
  -IJPEM-GT (Int. J. Prec. Eng. Manuf.-GT, SCIE)

  It is recommended that the authors who want to publish their full papers in the above journals apply for oral presentation. The important deadlines for journal paper publication are summarized as follows:

  -Submit ASPF Abstract: 20 Mar.
  -Notify the Abstract acceptance : 10 Apr.
  -Submit the ASPF paper: 20 Jun.
  -Notify the paper acceptance: 10 Jul.

(Both for ASPF and journal paper)
  -Submit journal paper Abstract: 25 Feb.
  -Notify the Abstract acceptance : 1 Mar.
  -Submit the journal paper: 30 Apr.
  -Submit the ASPF paper: 20 Jun.
  -Notify the papers acceptance: 10 Jul.
  -Submit final papers: 10 Aug.

Participation fee for all normal activities  except accomodations is US$ 400. Journal paper submitter should pay US$100 additionally for fast reviewing process. All papers can be submitted on-line or off-line.
