Dear KSTP Members for Sheet Metal Forming :

The International Deep Drawing Research Group was founded in the late 1950s as an organisation of national groups devoted to the study of sheet metal forming processes, materials, formability issues, tribology, and many other interesting aspects of sheet metal forming research and industrial practices. Especially Deakin University and KSTP will co-host the 43rd IDDRG conference in Melbourne between 12-15 March 2024 (IDDRG 2024). In 2020, IDDRG2020 was held online in Korea, and IDDRG will not be held in the Asia-Pacific region until 2029, when it will be held in Nanjing.
We expect the IDDRG 2024 conference to attract a high proportion of the participants coming from Asia and South-East Asia, the other block of participants will come from Europe (at least 25 presenters from Germany). We will hold an Australian industry day on Day 2 of the conference, where we expect to get up to 50 participants from Australian sheet metal companies for the day. Typically, 30% to 40% of the participants are from industry and the remainder are from academia. We have seven academic keynote speakers from Europe and Asia-Pacific, and we have two industry speakers from Autoform and data M respectively. We have gained the sponsorship from Autoform (Platinum) and POSCO (Silver) with the great support from KSTP, as well as other software companies.

Currently IDDRG 2024 is still open for submitting abstracts for presentation-only attendance at the conference, open until 31^st January.
We hope that members of the KSTP can submit abstracts to IDDRG 2024.
